August Civic Health MonthThis month we celebrate National Civic Health Month and National Health Center Week! National Health Center Week is a week-long celebration that brings together community health centers to highlight their importance as health care providers for underserved communities. From August 7 – 12, 2023, there will be special events and social media campaigns around the work and services that community health centers provide. As community health centers continue to succeed in providing communities with high-quality health care that they need and deserve, along with empowering their patients, staff, and surrounding communities to be civically engaged, they create a stronger and healthier nation. August is also National Civic Health Month. As community health centers, we recognize that health is always on the ballot. Throughout National Civic Health Month, community health centers will highlight the need for civic participation to build a healthier community.
